2001 – How it all began
Level One employment agency was born at the kitchen table of the Keetman family, with one clear mission: to give people a fair chance at work and to provide companies with motivated, reliable employees. What started small as an ambitious idea has grown into a valued partner for both employees and employers in the Netherlands.
2002 – First step outside the Netherlands
To achieve the best match between job seekers and clients, Level One Uitzendbureau opened the first recruitment and selection agency in Poland in 2002. This was the beginning of a successful international expansion: now Level One Uitzendbureau has no fewer than five offices in Poland, with the latest additions in 2024. This strengthened our position as a leading employment agency Poland and beyond.
2007 – Expansion and new leadership
Previously, only Polish workers with German or Polish passports were allowed to work in the Netherlands. Since 2007, this has become possible for all Polish workers. In addition, in 2007 we also took the step of recruiting workers from other countries, including Lithuania, Slovakia, Latvia and Germany. This created an international mix of temporary workers, only 20% of whom were Dutch. That same year, David Keetman, son of founder Gerard Keetman, became co-owner. His passion for Level One Uitzendbureau brought a fresh boost to the company.
2011 – Relocation and collaboration
Level One Uitzendbureau grew so fast that in 2011 we moved to a larger office: Daalder 2 in Emmeloord, which is still our headquarters. In that same year, Ronald de Boer became co-owner. Ronald started in 2008 as a sales representative and later became regional manager. Together with David Keetman they are, until today, the owners and thus the driving forces behind the success of Level One Uitzendbureau.
2016 – Digitalization in-house
In the beginning, the schedules of temporary workers were still written down by hand in a diary. As demand grew, the diaries became thicker, the pages fuller, and eventually the switch was made to Excel. Since 2016, Level One Uitzendbureau has been using its own fully developed software system, in which scheduling and processes are organized efficiently and clearly. To this day, this system is still updated every day with new developments and possibilities.
2017 – Our first own residential park
At Level One Uitzendbureau, we think good housing is essential. Our temporary workers need to feel at home, which is why in 2017 we built our first own residential park in Swifterbant, with space for 300 people. Each unit accommodates two people, which makes it ideal for couples, friends or colleagues to live together. In addition, these parks have (beach) volleyball courts and a recreation room that provide a cozy atmosphere. Three more similar residential parks have been added since 2018. In addition to our own built parks, there are also other housing locations.
2024 – International expansion
In 2024, we expanded with two additional offices in Poland. In addition, someone is now working in Portugal to help us recruit new talent, and someone also recently started recruiting workers in Romania. For quite some time now we have not been focusing on Dutch temporary workers, but on talents from European countries such as Poland, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine and many more.
2025 – Fresh look and innovation
In 2025, Level One Uitzendbureau got a modern rebranding: a slight upgrade of the logo, a fresh new corporate identity and a completely redesigned website, where you are now reading this blog. We also launched our first downloadable app, specially made for our flex workers. With this app you always have all important information at hand. The app will be further expanded this year to make the service ever better. Level One Uitzendbureau continues to grow and you can join us on this journey!
